About the Course

CA Intermediate is the second level of the Chartered Accountancy course, conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). It builds upon the fundamentals covered in the Foundation course and delves deeper into core Accounting, Law, Taxation, and Finance, preparing students for practical training and the final examination.

Subjects of Study

The CA Intermediate syllabus is divided into two groups with a total of six papers:

Group I:

  1. Advanced Accounting
  2. Corporate and Other Laws
  3. Taxation

Group II:

  1. Cost and Management Accounting
  2. Auditing and Ethics
  3. Financial Management and Strategic Management

Eligibility

  • Candidates must have cleared the CA Foundation examination.
  • Alternatively, graduates/postgraduates can apply through the Direct Entry Route (Commerce graduates with 55% or other graduates with 60% marks).

Registration Fees

  • ₹18,000 for both groups
  • ₹13,000 for a single group
  • (Payable directly to ICAI)

Registration Cutoff

Eight months prior to the month of the May or November examinations.

Coaching Duration

Typically 8 months, including regular classes, mock tests, and full syllabus coverage.
